Jun 30, 2009 - I totally disagree. Other than memories in our head its the ONLY thing we have of our sons birth some that is worth more than anything else. So to us it is VERY important, otherwise we wouldn't have hired a photographer for our birth to begin with. It might be a "set of photos" but it's the ONLY set of photos. Not a SINGLE picture was snapped through the ENTIRE process other than on her camera, again, thats why we hired her. It's worth every penny it's costing us.

If she is still threatening you with "legal action", take some of your own....take her to small claims court for the $50 she owes you as well as the rest of your prints that you haven't received. Also, it's not slander if it's the truth :)

Jul 14, 2009 - im sorry that yinz got into it with this photographer. it reflects badly on the whole industry when photographers do not set up contracts and set guidelines for buisness. you did say that there was no contract? as advice to all to avoid this.. discuss with your photographer obtaining a copyright release form. some photographers are willing to release a copyright temp. or permently for a fee.

She sounds like she is in the business to make money only, which is sad because my dad is a photographer and I know the kind of passion it takes to do it.
